Why buy a Mini when you can have a Rolls Royce (Its an English thing!!) This guitar is excellent, it looks good, its feels good and the sound is superb. I've waited a long time to buy a Gibson and its been worth the wait.
This is a great guitar. It's very versatile and can play anything from blues to metal to jazz. The sustain seems to never end and the tone is very clear and bright. The neck plays very smoothly. The only problems seem to be that the action is too high right out of the box and the body isn't very comfortable when sitting.
Why blow an extra grand? This is an LP Standard without the binding.
I've been playing for ten years now, and have gone through my share of guitars. I play rock, blues, country...you name it, this guitar covers it. With the mahogany body and the humbuckers in this thing, you can cover anything from playing the warmest rhythm, and with a little distortion, bone jarring rock, to soaring highs on lead solos. If you're a blues player, this thing will moan all night. What you're basically looking at is a cosmetically stripped down LP Standard. While retaining all the LP essentials, the Studio is nonetheless a beautiful guitar.
The Les Paul Studio is an excellent all around guitar for all kinds of music. The Studio can play blues to metal, rhythm to solo, quiet to load & never skip a beat. You won't be disappointed with this one, it will cover all the bases for any occasion.
