Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar

Its simple yet elegant design quickly helped it become the most popular model in the Les Paul Series. Cutting-yet-rich tone—the hallmark of the Les Paul—pours out of the 490R and 498T Alnico II magnet humbucker pickups, which are mounted on a carved maple top with a mahogany back. The faded finish models are equipped with BurstBucker Pro pickups and a mahogany top. The Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar includes a Gibson hardshell case (Faded and satin finish models come with a gig bag) and a limited lifetime warranty.

Why buy a Mini when you can have a Rolls Royce (Its an English thing!!) This guitar is excellent, it looks good, its feels good and the sound is superb. I've waited a long time to buy a Gibson and its been worth the wait.

This is a great guitar. It's very versatile and can play anything from blues to metal to jazz. The sustain seems to never end and the tone is very clear and bright. The neck plays very smoothly. The only problems seem to be that the action is too high right out of the box and the body isn't very comfortable when sitting.

I've been playing for ten years now, and have gone through my share of guitars. I play rock, blues, country...you name it, this guitar covers it. With the mahogany body and the humbuckers in this thing, you can cover anything from playing the warmest rhythm, and with a little distortion, bone jarring rock, to soaring highs on lead solos. If you're a blues player, this thing will moan all night. What you're basically looking at is a cosmetically stripped down LP Standard. While retaining all the LP essentials, the Studio is nonetheless a beautiful guitar.

Why blow an extra grand? This is an LP Standard without the binding.

The Les Paul Studio is an excellent all around guitar for all kinds of music. The Studio can play blues to metal, rhythm to solo, quiet to load & never skip a beat. You won't be disappointed with this one, it will cover all the bases for any occasion.

I just turned 50 years old and wanted to start playing again after 30 years. I had always wanted a Les Paul and received a Les Paul Studio-Wine Cherry with Gold Trim. The action is easy the sound is like "150 proof bourbon with a tea spoon of a sugar". It is truly a beautiful instrument.

Excellent guitar! Same pickups and sound as a LP Custom. Nice ebony fretboard on white, excellent tuning stability and sustain from the set neck and the stopbar/tune-o-matic on a carved maple cap. Buy this, you wont be disappointed.

I just got this guitar. It is incredible great sustain and a true Gibson I slapped some EMGs in it. If you are looking for a more affordable Gibson Paul buy this baby!!!

I play blues, so the mahogany of this plank, king of tone, is much appreciated. I have a Les Paul Classic, a Custom and a Studio. I tune them all differently, but they all have the same killer tone of a Les Paul, and that is GOOD. The sustain that these beasts have is without rival! If you are in need of a rig that can get everything from warm fuzz to full blown "far beyond driven" distortion, get a Les Paul. If you don't have two grand or more, get a Studio model. Same guitar, same wood, same factory. In fact, the top on my Studio is a better looking piece of wood than the top of the Classic. These are some beautiful guitars. If GOD played a guitar, it would be a Les Paul loaded with Duncan Pearly Gates pickups. Trust me, I know. So, buy 2, Sleep with one and play the other. Would give it 6 stars, but it won't let me.

This guitar is all about snobbery. Can you get over the fact it is not a standard? If you can, you get a fantastic guitar, with beautiful tone, for around half the price of the standard (if you're lucky). These guitars play beautifully as well and look fantastic. Go on, take a chance and smirk to yourself for years afterwards about the great deal you got.
