Ahead of the PackGibson's original Flying V of 1958 was so far ahead of its time that even the first reissues, almost 10 years later, were only moderately successful. Finally, in the late '60s and early '70s, progressive rockers embraced the V, and the 1967 version lives on today.

I've always wanted a Flying V and the opportunity came up for me to purchase one, brand new. I waited approx. 3 weeks for this guitar, finished in classic white. The wait was worth it, this guitar totally rocks !!! The factory pickups sound incredible going through my '66 Fender amp. It has great sustain and truly has the rocker sound...great for hard rock/metal/hard alternative. The finished product from this company has just completely impressed me....from the tone to the quality of workmanship. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.
This is a great guitar. It has a great sound and also is a very light guitar. It's perfect for the sound I'm playing, but you must be able to play standing up. Once you can do this, this guitar and almost perfect to being a rockers dream.
I love this guitar. It is by far my favorite. This "V" is the ultimate guitar for your heavy metal needs. The tone is really great and its super easy to hit the high notes. The '67 re-issue is awesome!!!
I'm very pleased with my new V Factor, finished in Classic White. I was a bit nervous about ordering one online, sight unseen, but as soon as I opened the box from Music123, any fears were quickly dispelled. It would appear that Gibson is trying hard to overcome their recent reputation for shoddy workmanship quality control and succeeding. This guitar is 100% FLAWLESS, from the dark, even, tight-grained fingerboard to the finish work. No ripples, no orange peal, no oops. Just a PERFECTLY FLAWLESS white finish. It is, by far, one of the nicest examples of quality Gibson workmanship that I've ever held in my hands - and I've played more than a few! The guitar came with .010's, so I switched to my usual .009's and set the action way down low. The thing plays like a dream, very FAST action. No fret buzzes anywhere even bending notes a full five intervals. The neck feels good too. Nice and slim. Not a fat baseball bat like on the Historic models. The tuners are smooth and seem to hold pitch very well. I can't see why Gibson charges so much for these when sold separately. They're not Schallers, for sure, but they do the job. No complaints with them. There is one complaint, though, and one complaint only. The 490R and 500T pickups they're using don't sound very good to me. Yeah, they're hot, but there's some high-frequency distortion in the sound that's not real pretty. They also seem to get a bit weak and brittle on the top end. Swap these pickups out with some Bill Lawrences and you'll have a guitar with sound and playability that can't be beat. The case that came with the guitar is covered with this really cool black reptile patterned tolex. It looks like a cross between snake and lizard skin. Very cool! Inside is plush-lined in dark gray with a black shroud. There's a combination latch on the outside. This is a very high quality case, made in Canada by TKL. I'm rating this guitar a full five stars, based on the quality of the guitar itself, overlooking the fact that the pickups were not to my liking. Pickup tone is a subjective issue, and easily changed. It has nothing to do with the build quality of the actual guitar itself. Special thanks to Music123. I'm very pleased with the way they do business. I had the guitar in less than a week, and they went out of their way to accommodate our special shipping request, whereas other online companies (you know, "the big one") would not. These guys were SUPER, and as good as it gets!
This guitar is incredible! I currently own a Fender Strat but when I plugged this guitar up I couldn't put it away. This is the best guitar I have ever played. I have played a lot of different guitars.
