Gibson 1937 L-00 Acoustic Guitar
It's not the Size that Counts! The L-00 dates from an era of pre-World War II small bodied flattops, when Gibson produced L-0, L-00, and L-1 guitars as lower-cost alternatives to its more expensive models. A favorite with blues and ragtime players, the L-00 defied both its low-end price tag and diminutive construction to produce a warm, smooth, appealing sound. The 1937 model in particular stands out as the first L-00 to feature a bound top and back, and it is now lovingly reproduced in the Gibson Legends series. To play this new 1937 L-00 is to retrace steps to a bygone era of delicately crafted guitars almost magically capable of producing warm, textured tones. But don't take our word for it. In the words of a man who has spent his fair share of time on an L-00: "I never thought it possible, but the new 1937 L-00 is actually better than my original. It is very inspiring to play" - Country Legend, Lee Roy Parnell
