This is a great arm for splashes and so forth, but I personally think that the arm is too long. Other than that, it's perfect.
I personally like the long arm because it can be used for many various applications. It's strong enough to hold big cymbals and I'd rather have an arm that's too long than too short.
This cymbal arm would have to be one of the best investments I have made towards my drumset. It has a good length, enough to hold my 20" ride, or enough to hold an 8" splash. It offers much flexibility to precisely-position your cymbal you are mounting, a great factor. When you mount this to a stand, make sure the stand can hold the size cymbal you are mounting, plus whatever is on the stand currently, plus make sure the stand will balance according to your playing style, so if you are hitting pretty hard, make sure it does not fall. Stop wondering if this is a good buy, it is very much worth the money.
This arm is very nice. No slipping whatsoever. I've got a 20" heavy ride on one, and it's fine. Sure, the arm is long, but if you don't want it that long, you can get a different boom arm. This is great for adding a cymbal without adding a stand or a clamp and arm!
This cymbal arm is a very simple item that works exactly like you'd hope it would. I use it for a 10" splash and it does a great job, but I have not used it for anything larger than that so I can't give a fair assesment on that. If you just need an attachment arm for a smaller cymbal, this will do the job just fine.
