Pad works with both single and double pedals! 10" diameter, with an air channel design gives it real bass drum feel. 3 large spurs keep it from creeping.

Need something to keep your feet busy during work? I bought this thing for just that, well that and to develop double pedal speed but it does both so it’s a win-win. Its size (and some sharp corners, ouch) makes it a little cumbersome to carry in to the office with my pedal, but the big nature of it makes it rock solid stable. So it is definitely worth the hassle. The beater contact surface is not your average bass drum head; in fact it’s almost nothing like most of my bass drums. BUT this is a good thing, because the difference between this and your bass is that this pad is much less forgiving. And since this is a practice tool, it makes the transition back to the real deal feel so much easier. And it's not like some of those other pads that have so much spring in them that when you're done you feel like you've got the pedal speed of Dave Macintosh the drummer for Dragonforce, until you hit the kit and realize you aint got jack. Overall the only problem I have with this practice pad is the ability of the head to stay screwed onto the mount. The pad is held onto the unit by a threaded opening in the back. With a single pedal, this causes no problems. But if you add the differing push from two positions on the pad via a double pedal, this screw tends to undo itself. Not a huge inconvenience because it normally takes a good 15 minutes of work to get it to that point, but a problem none the less. Bottom line: Excellent practice tool. Great for breaking the tedium at the office, and for pedal speed exercises while you're watching cartoons on the couch.
