I just purchased this horn and have had it for two weeks now. Before, I owned Calicchio, Bach, and Selmer.
Fit, finish, and craftsmanship are flawless. This horn will do everything. It can be dark or bright, soft or loud as you chose. Responds like a bell in all ranges. Valve action is the best I have ever had in a horn.
I actually feel like I paid less for this horn than it's worth.
If you are looking for a new horn, do yourself a big favor and get this one. It will do everything, and more, than horns at twice the price!

I recently joined a jazz band that required me to play trumpet as well as tuba, and i was borrowing a beatup, tormented old Conn. When I went to by a trumpet, I automatically tried out Bach and Yamaha models.Fortunatly a good friend of mine stopped me from purchasing a Bach 180s long enough to try an Eterna, and wow! what a horn!
The valves are not only tighter than any Bach or Yamaha, but they are superfast as well. The slightly smaller bell throat fits perfectly with the taper after the first valve. It responds wonderfully in all ranges and has a wonderfully dark sound for band and orchestra, but also a bright and lively(but not brassy and shrill)sound for jazz. Everyone in my section loves the horn and our newest edition to the jazz band just bought a Getzen from my recommendation. No matter where you play, student or professional, with this horn you can't go wrong!
