This is a great case. I purchased it a while back for my 1964 YTS62. I was a little worried because other reviews mentioned a poor fit on some horns. My 62 fits great though. As long as your horn fits, you shouldn't have any trouble with it.
I am greatly pleased with this bag. My old markVI fits in it very well. Plenty of extra tuck away's. The kicker is the shoulder strap doubles for me as a sling.. Nice!
I fell in love with this gig bag the second I got it. Great padding. Sturdy exterior without being heavy. Unfortunately, when I put my sax in it, there was TONS of wiggle room. If you play a Jupiter or like saxophone, it's not going to fit the horn.
I was really excited to get this case in spite of the review that was posted. Upon receiving my new Gator, the first impression was WOW! It looks great and is very well made and is extremely light weight especially compared to my old shoulder dislocating hard case. The first thing I noticed were the TWO exterior zippered pouches, each of which have double zippers for easy access.It has 4 brass feet on the bottom and 4 on the back so it can stand or lay. There are heavy brass "D" rings for attaching the shoulder strap which has a padded contoured shoulder pad that is adjustable. There are 2 heavy duty carrying straps at the bell which provide excellent balance and a strap at the top as well. Upon opening the case, I was impressed by the plush lining. I layed my tenor inside and the fit was great. There is a small amount of slop to the fit which is to be expected in a case that is designed as a "universal" type case as opposed to a custom fit. I found that a bit of foam padding gives me a custom fit. There are 2 large padded slots behind the horn for the neck and mouthpiece, neck strap etc. I am extremely happy with this case and with the great price! I'm sure you will be too.
This is an excellent case. It is well built, offers plenty of storage, and is aesthetically pleasing. Even better, it fits my Keilwerth SX90R Tenor. Plus, it is a great buy. I highly recommend this outstanding case.Keep in mind that if you own pets, their hair will 'cling' to it.
