Gallien-Krueger Goldline 500 Bass Head
The Goldline 500 was developed by Gallien-Krueger to compliment the look and tone of the GLX series bass enclosures. It features a 500-watt, solid state amplifier and a foot-switchable boost "valve effect" channel. Gate-Induced Valve Effect, or G.I.V.E. technology, was developed by Bob Gallien in 1972 and is part of what gives GK its distinctive sound. This amplifier is made using the same quality components as GK's professional products, such as a high-current power supply for maximum punch and a toroidal transformer for greater efficiency. The adjustable contour and active four-band EQ make it simple to dial in a great sound. The Goldline 500 delivers a warm, punchy tone with a fast transient response that not only sounds better, but feels better. The Goldline series is the perfect marriage of affordability and outstanding quality.
