This amp has it all! The clean channel is incredible and puts out the crispest sound i've ever heard. The gain channel is a bit lacking but you can always just buy a fuzz face or distrotion pedal. Even without those pedals though, it still has decent distortion. The reverb and tremolo are also incredible. The best thing about this amp is the 100 watts it puts out. It will blow you away. It come with a 1/4 switch too so you can always flick it to 25 watts if you want. Overall, it is a quality amp that will not disappoint you.

I have been playing with this amp for the last 2 years, its great! The clean sound is amazing, and the distortion is very creamy, add a tube screamer for that extra punch when you need it. The reverb and vibrato also work your sound with quality. I use an old re-201 space echo though the effects loop.

I have 2 Stats "custom shop". This amp is the best thing since the '60s for them. Stats sound great through this amp. I have a cheap Yamaha guitar that my son and his friends are always borrowing because they like how it sounds even though its a cheapie. I played it through this amp and all I can say is WOW. By the way 5 stars don't say it all!!!!! My only concern is that I don't blow the windows out of my house.

"The NEW Twin . . . sure to become a classic."

The tone of this amp is truly unique. This is not the 80's Twin nor the vintage sounding 65. The new actual Gain channel can get you close to Marshall tones and the clean channel is crisp and cries Fender all the way. The effects loop is a godsend, but stay away from digital effects . . . they work . . .but analog phaser, chorus, and delay work well through it. If you want an extra chunky distortion, close to a Mesa Recto sound, use the gain channel and add a Boss Metal Zone pedal or something comparable. Fender has now created an amp that surpasses the Prosonic in gain and retains the clean channel that every Fender lover craves! For the money you won't be disappointed!

This beautiful amp is loaded with all kinds of goodies inside that makes it unnecessarily to use preamps that comes along with stomp boxes and the likes of any kind and works well with compressions and distortion boxes,ect...Properly biased, this amp is the best that there is on the planet. The effects loop is a bit noisy but I believe that I will conquer that problem in a month or two when I replace a tube or two in the section that controls the input and output for the effects loops. Because hooking up an external cabinet can be a problem keeping the total load to 4 ohms, I simply go direct from the preamp out to a slave amp prepped to duplicate the fender pro series twin's signal in volume and ect...thus assuring the reproduction of glorious fender twin tones controlled straight from the twin and my guitar. The tubes come stocked with output tubes that are color coded red, white or blue as a basis for clean, mid, and dirty with ratings 1-10 for how that particular set of tubes will break-up. With these output tubes and the different preamp tubes that can be used in the V1 stage of this amp, you can be the man no matter what your style is. I know.... I own this amp.

"Great amp, but not that affordable"

A friend of mine purchased this amp a few months back. It weighs 80 lbs., too much for me to lift. It has a nice sound, but you need a Les Paul or an SG to give this amp the sound that it deserves. I've played Strats and Teles through this and they don't sound that good. I'm a little disappointed with the overdrive on this amp. It's ok, but the drive on Hot Rod Deluxe and Hot Rod Deville are much better. If you're looking for a classic Fender amp, buy this one.
