I am giving this 4 stars, but for the price it is really a five plus. This guitar is SWEET and has become my ax of choice. I also own an acoustic and a MIM Strat. The Strat is very versitile but cannot get that classic Tele tone, especially playing clean or looking for that twang. I put it up against a custom ash tele, and the difference was minimal. I am sure changing out the stock pick-ups would do the trick, although the stock pick-up are good except maybe for the most discrinimating ear, and that would just be a matter of preference. The build is flawless, silky smooth neck, no fret spread like you hear about on some MIM (my Strat had a bit). It was ready to play right out of the box. The only issues, occasional pick-up buzz (minor) that goes away anytime you touch a string, what do you want for stock single pick-ups, and would have like to see this come with the classic black pick guard, but not a deal breaker. Great Tele platform, change out the pick-ups and guard and you have a classic that would rival the best of them.

been playing guitar for over 50 years started with a fender tele 1963,this tele with a little ajusting here and there has become my number 1 axe,the action is so low you just have to look at the guitar and she plays, the bridge could be a little bit more refined and the nut replaced and you will play like the wind. great, old, vintage, tele sounds, rock and country riffs are so cool on this you can`t seem to put her down, hey, not my old tele but if stolen or lost, i`d buy this one in a minute. buy one, trust me.
