I recently purchased the road worn 60's strat, and I have to say I like it very much. All the parts are period correct, truss rod adjustment, tuning keys, ect. The first thing I noticed right away was the absolutely beautiful rosewood slab board. The grain was nice and the wood was dark and rich looking, with not one pit. I remember seeing quite a few rosewood fretboards thru the 90's and early 2000's with really nasty, pitted rosewood. This seems to have been corrected lately. The finish is excellent, I chose the Olympic white. There is something special about the lacquer finishes, they just look and feel better. This model has just enough dings to make it look authentic. The grimy pickguard was a nice touch. The pickups sound great as always. I had no problem getting that sweet twang thru my fender deluxe reverb. The set-up was great, the guitar came with .009's instead of the advertised .010's, but no big deal. I have since changed them and it plays and sounds great. No fret buzz whatsoever and string bending is nice and smooth. Overall, I would absolutely buy this guitar again, and I recommend it to someone looking for a 'broken in' strat. This guitar just feels good to play, five stars from me.
