Have had this for over a year now. Bought it because I don't like schlepping and setting up tons of gear. Has been a good system in many ways-it has a "jazz" (smooth and rich) sound as opposed to a "rock" sound (brasher and more mid-range)- and plugged into my home stereo, they sound awesome. As a P.A. it doesn't quite make it for my needs- I can't get the room filling lows my keyboard generates, and the same for a bassist plugging in, the low end just doesn't have it to give. (After all, they're only 6.5" woofers, so it's understandable) The mixer is too limited for my needs as well. There's only a single EQ control for the mono channels, meaning there's no separate bass and treble control, and I've found this single EQ control mostly useless for adjusting the sound (fortunately the stereo channels have bass and treble EQ). The reverb doesn't work well for me either- there's no reverb/delay/chorus selection possible. Your only option is to add some of their preset reverb into the mix, and the only thing it sounds good on, to my ears, is guitar. All that said, I love the sound of the speakers, and as a portable P.A. it's an attractive, minimum-schleppage package. As an all-in-one system it's the best I know of out there; but consider other options if you need the kind of low end a keyboard and bass generate.

When my Fender PD250 arrived I couldn't wait to try it. I was fortunate to have a gig the next day, opening up during the Hot August Nights Festival in Reno, Nevada. Being a one man band, I didn't have the luxury of having a sound man, so I had to rely on my own ears to get a balance and
from the reaction of the audience it was great and
it was extremely simple to put together. Originally I was going to buy a stereo amp for my Roland XP-80 keyboard but after reading the specs for this system I felt it would be adequate to operate my drum machine, keyboard, and vocals. The music I had written sounded superb. Better than I had anticipated. People around me swarmed to listen to me. I was an instant hit mainly because I was coming out clearly( the mikes that came with it sounded better than my Shure SM58 mike I was so accustomed to using) It is now my new vocal mike.
The mikes, mike cords and speaker cords were easily tucked inside a back compartment of the amp. I can't believe how easy it was to set up and pack up. Thank you Fender. The club owner who hired me was so impressed by the PA system he wants me to order one for his club next month. The new technology Fender spoke of was phenomenal. All my sounds were clear and distinct and thanks to Fender I was able to secure many private functions as a one man band. One great advantage is the anti-feedback technology. It helped because I could hear myself without the use of a monitor. It's totally amazing. I didn't really use the vocal priority on channel one, but I wanted everyone to hear my music. They were right if you feel your music is important you must order the new PD model the music has no distortion and the stereo sound is great for stereo components like my drum and keyboards.
