I was desperately searching for a great sounding tube amp that could deliver monster tone without drowning out the vocal monitors in local clubs. This is as good as it gets. Great vintage looks and sound in a package my Great Grandma could carry. I haven't plugged my half stack in since acquiring this sonic gem. You rarely see these for sale used because once you get one you will not turn it loose.

This is a tremendous product. What can you say about that classic Fender sound. But this amp may not be for everybody. This amp is loud, very loud. If you need a practice amp that you can turn down and play in the house, this amp may not be for you. When turning up the pre amp to get the distortion I wanted from the amp, I was unable to get the master volume low enough to get the sound I wanted. I wanted the amp to sound loud without being loud. I could never find that right balance. I have found that balance with the Vox Valvetronix 30. I can make it sound like a stack of Marshalls without disturbing the wife in the next room.

If you want the the true "Fender" tone in a light weight but "Big Sounding" amp, buy this. Both guitars in my band play through Jr.s and only in large clubs do we actually mic them. I have a cyber twin, a Mesa and a crate blue voodoo, but this little dude just kicks a** and is much more portable. Did I mention Tone? Shape it how you want it. Clean or overdriven, great amp!

I have had this amp for almost a year now and am still loving how well it sounds. I generally play blues & rock through it which I think it was designed for. It is a very clean amp when played at lower volumes. I play thru a Tube Screamer and a few Boss effects. Both my Fender Strat and Takamine acoustic sound good with this BJ NOS. The only things I wish it had are Line Out and Headphone jacks. Other than that, I highly recommend this amp.
