Fender Champion 600 5 Watt 1x6 Combo Amp
The Fender Champion Amp is a 5W tube guitar amplifier with a 6-inch speaker and 1950 "two tone" cosmetics. This simple tribute to the cute and collectible 1949-53 era Fender guitar amplifier makes small-room sessions lots of fun! Originally intended as a student model, the Champion Amp (also known as the Champ) has also been employed by many professionals for its low output, easy-to-record capabilities. Fender has added a higher-gain preamp circuit to take the overdriven tone beyond that of the original, and a choice of High- or Low-gain inputs. An internal speaker output jack allows the use of a larger speaker cabinet.

The original Champion 600 had a low-gain preamp with 6SJ7 tube; the 12AX7 and associated tone circuitry lets the amp be driven harder for more overdrive.

5W tube power amplifier driving a 6-inch speaker provides perfect low volume for practice or recording.

Internal speaker can be disconnected, allowing amp to be used with a larger external speaker cabinet.

This Amp has the Best Tweed Overdriven Sound I have ever heard.Very somple, only a volume control but that let's the guitar signal simply drive the amp.Best thing to do is put the volume level at full then control things with the guitar. This amp is loud enough for the bedroom or the living room but maybe not for gigs.It is a home practice amp but one of the best out there.Fender Quality through and through.A boutique type amp for little money.Get it now!!!

but in this instance, you may actually get a little more than what the price tag actually is. I received this amp as a Christmas gift, and when I took it out of the bx, I immediately thought that I had been ripped off, then I plugged it in. This amp puts out a vintage sound from low volume to about three quarters of the way up And by vintage, I mean bluesy. When it is cranked up to max, it has a sound similiar to what the stones have, or maybe even some of the earlier JOhn Mellencamp stuff, back when he rocked. I would reccommend this amp for the more mature player who is into a quality sound. It is plenty loud enough for anyone's house, but, if you want to rattle the windows and tick off the neighbours, it is probaly not for you.
