It is my upgrade from Ibanez GSR200 and it sounds excellent. S1 switch is neat.
I remember trying this fender bass for over a hour before buying it, its really top notch. The s1 feature is nice you can have both pickups playing at the same time to create a different tone. With the maple neck you can get a really clear nice strong non blurred tone, very nice for funk! Its a very nice bass.
I have had this bass for about a year and I am still in love with the sound. It is kind of expensive but it is worth it. The neck is awesome to play. The body is a tad on the big side but nothing to really worry about as far as playability goes. You can get anything from rock all the way to slap. The tones are limitless. Great active electronics. I highly recommend this bass for any style of music or playing style.
