The EC Resonant tom head is the first bottom head to promote the natural tone and body of any tom by means of frequency "tweaking." The EC Resonant tom head is constructed from a single ply of 10 mil ultra-clear film augmented with the Evans EC ring. It attenuates unwanted overtones and centers pitch, while delivering a desirable mid-range frequency bump. I was impressed with this head. It made a notable difference in the sound of my 12" tom. I was skeptical at first but the head works as advertised. The sound was more focused at both high and low tunings, with the "extra" overtones now gone. The head tunes easily, no problem getting a good, consistant tuning at each lug. A definite upgrade to consider for your toms
