It appears that Ernie Ball has reinvented the wheel with their new strap locks. They have taken the best of the existing designs (Dunlop, Schaller) and improved upon them. Fail safe buttons (you will not accidentally bump these open), and strap holders that can double as traditional buttons. Rated at some ridiculous weight that you will never get near with a guitar or bass. The best out there; now on all my instruments.

These strap locks are pretty good for the money. I think I paid a little extra to match the Gold hardware on my Les Paul Gibson. But it is worth it to know that my guitar ain't gonna fall or drop! My only drawback with these, is they are kind of tall,so cosmetically they look....well a little tall! But they do their job,and when you're concentrating on playing you won't be looking at them anyway. Good product Ernie Ball!!! Thanks!

This product does just what is designed to do. It is a great product and if you want to secure your guitar this is a great option.
