These strings maintain their intonation, have an excellent tone, and go a long time before breaking on a tremolo system.

These are the best strings $3.99 can buy. They have a great sound.

I can't understand these guys that state "There just too bright". Why would someone complain about that, too bright is perfect for someone who is concerned with tone. These guys who are complaining must not have tone knobs on their guitars (some guitars don't of course). It's great actually being able to use the tone knob once and a while. As soon as these strings start to go sour and loose their bright sparkling tone I change them (every 3 weeks or so and before gigs). What rock or metal guitarist wouldn't want a string that stays bright, this is what made that brown sound of VH or Rhoads. For those who break strings easily, you have another problem, probably with your trem or bridge needing to be smoothed out where the strings touch which is a very common issue.

To be honest I could never tell the difference between different types of strings but the second you put Ernie balls on your guitar its like a whole new instrument. Just don't change them in the cold, I think its the only thing that'll break them.

People say D'Addario's are the best. Well, I guess that's true if you don't like to have any tone and like to have your strings break all the time. I've been using these for awhile and I LOVE them! They're really durable and they've got awesome tone. Switch from whatever you've got now to these. You see what I mean! =)
