I got this guitar for christmas, and for the most part it is working out pretty well. The amp is ok, but it has light tone and just gives a ton of feedback if you play it over 2 on the volume. the tuner works well, the picks are good, and the strap is ok, but my guitar sometimes falls. The pickups on the guitar give lots of feedback for little tone, and the strings are crappy. but that can be fixed. if you are just a beginner, this is a great guitar. but if you have the money, i would suggest a Les Paul Jr. or a G-400 instead.
This SG Special is probably one of the best beginner guitar deals there is for people that don't want to spend a lot of money. It has great sound, and is fun to play. The amp is small but has distortion and is plenty loud for any one that can hear. The amp only gives feedback when you turn it up the whole way. If you don't want to spend a lot of money for your first guitar, then this is the one for you!
