I play this guitar now and have put away my `77 Strat. The "Les Paul Model" gives you all the body and sound you need for todays style of music.

My brother has this guitar in ebony. It is very light, it has a good balance, it looks good, and most importantly sounds great.

I recently purchased an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and I am so happy with it. It has great tone and it stays in tune really well. I love it

I have had this guitar for almost two months and its awesome. I own a Gibson Les Paul also and you cannot tell the difference between the two. The fretboard is fast, the tone is awesome, and the overall sound is unmatched. I've owned a guitar from just about every guitar company there is and this guitar is one of the best.

I just bought one of these beasts a few days ago. It's my 2nd guitar. My 1st was a B.C. Rich warlock. I love it. It sounds great, looks great, and there are very few things to complain about. One thing might be that my G string goes out of tune more than it should, and my E is buzzy, but I haven't had it set up yet. After that it should be great. Eventually I'll replace the pickups (Dimebuckers!) and maybe the tuners, but I love it right out of the box.

I have this Epiphone Les Paul standard but with the metal tuners it's a great guitar but not as good as an Gibson Les Paul. The Bridge gives it gives that nice type of sound it looks just as good as Gibson.

I have owned this guitar for 3 years, and havenot replaced tuners, pickups, selector switch or any other parts on this guitar.I play blues, 50's rock, fingerstyle, and just about anything in between.I have abused the switch when playing rock solos by rapidly flicking the toggle throughout the three positions, and never once has it failed to perform as intended, even under such abuse. The tone that you get from this guitar through a good tube (Fender) amp go from warm to singingsustain, depending on what you want to achievein your playing.I use a vintage Tube Screamer for Santana songs, and a Super Overdrive for more Bluesy tones.

Was looking for a good all-around guitar. Wanted a fixed bridge, humbuckers, great playability, and warm sound with lots of sustain. I found it in this great product from Epiphone. I did a lot of research before I bought and most said these Epiphones can perform at the same level as their ridiculously expensive Gibson brothers and they were right.Only downside I've found is that some of the strings can stick in the nut while tuning. Could be a fluke, I'm gonna put a new ceramic nut in. Otherwise, fit finish and sound is great.

This guitar is great for its price. I would recommend it to any musician. It feels and plays just like its older brother, the Gibson Les Paul, at a fraction of the cost. If you are a serious player, and plan on buying this guitar, there are a few things you should know. The Epiphone Les Paul Standard has a few flaws as with any guitar. If you buy an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, plan on making a few upgrades and changes to this guitar. You may want to replace the stock tuners, because they de-tune quite easily. I have found that the stock pickups on this Les Paul give a great tone but in return for tone have a lot of hum and extra noise. Another problem I've heard but never encountered is with the stock pickup selector switch. I've heard that it tends to break and stop working which may be a small problem. Besides those few flaws this guitar plays like a dream right out of the box and definitely recommend it to anyone willing to put a little more money into a guitar.
