Man, oh man, I love this axe. It's got that pure "Rock on" sound and GOLD hardware. Definitely a must have, and it won't empty out your wallet! Plus, it's just like the Gibson, only just less expensive.
This is a fine guitar. Looks great and plays even better. The neck has a smooth feel to it. The humbuckers have a lot of punch as well as a clean sound. Well worth it. This is the 3rd Epiphone guitar in my collection and will not be the last.
I've been playing guitar since I was 14, and have always wanted a Flying V. I played a Gibson V, and none of the off brand copies even came close. The Gibson sound was unique, or so I thought until I ordered my Epi '58 Korina. This guitar was awesome in its ability to accurately reproduce the sound, and tonal qualities of the more expensive Gibson. From just listening to the sound of it being played, I'd swear I was hearing a Gibson. This guitar, right out of the box, was exceptional in fit, finish, and sound quality. The stock humbuckers give me a wide array of sounds, from mellow midrange for blues/R & B, to razor sharp screaming leads when I play metal. The only changes/adjustments made were lighter gauge strings, and a professional setup. Other than those minor things, this guitar is every bit the match for the Gibson Flying V in all areas, except price. Normal people can now afford that great Gibson sound!
This is a kickass guitar. Sound is great, is sounded alot better than my Ibanez. The only downside I thought was that it is a set neck.
This guitar is the beauty and the beast of my guitar-collection! My main guitar is a Gibson, but when it comes to looks, this guitar is as good as the Gibson. A beauty! I changed the bridge-humbucker to a Gibson Dirty Fingers-humbucker, and the guitar turned into a beast!
