I was surprised to learn that when I purchased my 1958 Korina Epiphone Explorer, that it did not come with a case. I looked at other cases at guitar stores and didnÆt find one that seemed "Just right" for my new baby. I ordered the Epiphone case and it was everything I thought it would be. A nice hard-shell exterior (Mine has the word "Epiphone" in Gold on the bottom corner and not the giant "E" thatÆs shown in the picture) and a plush lined interior (That includes a large storage compartment for your straps, strings, cables etc...) Make for the perfect combo to protect your instrument. I was disappointed that none of the three Gold latches had a lock. The middle latch does have a place for either a combination or a key lock. If your like me, you keep your precious Axe's locked up, to keep wandering eyes and hands away. The case, with either an instrument in it or not is heavier than I imagined. Unlike some of the newer cases on the market today, this one does not fit so snug, that there are imprints of the top of your instrument on the top of the interior. It does hold your instrument firmly with no sliding, and it is versatile enough to hold both guitars and basses alike. For $71.00, this case is worth every penny. The folks at music123 are super friendly and your satisfaction is guaranteed.
