This guitar is soo cool! I received this guitar for my 13th birthday and I loved it! This is a great guitar for a beginner or an expert! The ebony color is especially attractive.

I was looking for a good quality guitar to start playing again after about 20 yrs. I owned an Epi during high school and loved it. I did a lot of research into good quality beginner guitars for under $200. Epi D-100 was rated in the top 5. So I purchased it with a hardshell case. Man I love it. The action is nice and low and it has a nice bright tone. The black finish is excellent. I am truly impressed with the quality. Thanks Music 123. I really have enjoyed playing again and this guitar makes it fun and worth while.

Wow what a great little guitar, I'm very impressed with the tones. After spending about 20 years away from the guitar I decided to buy this one to hack around on and see if I would enjoy playing agaain. This guitar is simply a pleasure to play. I had more expensive guitars years ago (Ibanez and Alverez) the Epiphone sounds so close to them it's just unreal. What a good price for a decent guitar for the beginner to intermediate.

I wanted it as a backup acoustic and to play with alternate tunings so that I wouldn't have to keep returning my main acoustic all the time. I was very surprised when it arrived at how nice it looked. The neck is probably one of the most comfortable necks I've ever played on and the guitar sounded lovely. It is really very good for the purpose I wanted it for. The only problem I had was that I discovered that one of the frets was coming up at the edges at the high end of the guitar. It probably won't be a guitar for a while, and possibly never. But I'd say it's very good for the money. Epiphones usually don't disappoint me at all.

I've had this guitar for about a year, and it has been great. The spruce top and mahogany sides create a warm clean tone, which is surprising, considering it's made of laminates. I'd venture to say that this is one of the best sounding budget or beginner acoustics out there. The string height and action from the Epiphone factory was low and perfect right out of the box, which made it easier to play than many of the other big name budget acoustics that I've tried. The tuners actually work! The sunburst finish gives it a vintage vibe that I like. The flashy sunburst color really sets it apart from the average natural finish acoustic you so often see. This Epiphone DR100 gets thrown in the car and taken to parties all of the time. It has stood up quite well to the cramped dorm room environment with many a drunks bumping into it, spilling a beer or two on the fretboard, and then trying to play some awful Dave Matthews inspired chords. You get the picture. It still plays well, even after the abuse. Can't beat it for the price.
