A great looking guitar. Excellent build quality. For the price you cannot fail with this. I can't wait to play it through my new Marshall TSL 122 when it arrives. The only minor thing is the frets seem a bit too chunky so I might have these seen to. The pickups seem to sound ok but these can also be changed. I'll know when I get my amp (probably get Seymour Duncans). I have the Korina model which has a lovely finish, so I am very happy at the moment. One other thing I may change is the position for the strap at the rear to see if I can get a better balance as it is a little neck heavy, but I can live with it if need be. I'll still give it 5 stars.

This guitar is just awesome. It has a really fast neck and the fret board is really nice to play, which helps when you have to do those really fast metallica solo's!

I love the explorer! The body may seem clumsy but it¦s not! It is perfectly weighed and lies very good in your knee! The sound goes from crystal clear to very heavy distortion (great humbuckers)and the sustain makes the tone stay forever.Without a doubt the best guitar ever.

I picked this axe up in 1999,and it still rocks. I have the Korina natural finish on mine and this one has a gorgeous grain. It almost looks like it reflects. The sound is awesome too. All I did to mine was replace the pickup rings with cream colored ones, and replaced the knobs, volume and tone with gold Les Paul ones. Action is killer and it looks good next to the matching Korina Flying-V Epiphone I got that year.
