I needed a better amp to record electric guitar parts with, and potentially do some live gigs. After much research I decided my best option to try first would be a speaker upgrade in my old Fender Champion 110 solid state amp (25watts, TMB, Reverb). I do not need extreme volume or overdrive - just nice tone/voice for fairly clean sounding guitar work. After studying the soundclips on the eminence web site I came to the decision that the Copperhead was a good potential upgrade speaker for the amp.

I put the new speaker in with no problems and it is a MASSIVE upgrade on the old Fender speaker (this must have cost about $1). I now have a "mini-twin-reverb"! It sparkles! It has bass and highs - all the tone controls work in a manner previously I could not have imagined. It has depth and a real "voice". This upgrade makes the amp sound like something MUCH more expensive. Highly recommended and I am very very happy.
Wow this speaker is really something, granted it really wasn't for my taste. I can't believe how accurately they are described, once it is broken in that "little country honk" definitely becomes apparent. I thought a good EQ could adjust that out but it just does not happen. I really can't say anything bad about it.
