I was thrown off at first by the price tag on the strings, but after playing on them for about a year, I've realized that they last about three times longer than any other strings I've played (d'addario and Ernie ball, mainly). They feel good as new even after extensive playing, and keep a very strong tone, unlike other strings, which seem to die after a few weeks. They pay for themselves after a while, and the tone is unmatched. Highly recommended.

These strings are awsome they last forever. They are a must buy.

I am very picky with the condition of my strings and used to replace them every 2 to 3 weeks. I bought Elixer's for the first time about 3 months ago and STILL don't feel the need to replace them. They have already paid for themselves twice over. I was afraid that the coating would kill the sound of the strings, but instead they sound crisp and clear like brand new strings every time I play. The coating isn't even visible it's so thin. I cannot say enough good things about these strings. I will NEVER buy another brand, that's for sure! If I could, I would give this product 6 stars.

I also think these are great strings. No, I didn't notice any diminution of tone. The first day they sounded a bit weird, but then the next day, they sounded just great.They do sound different than the martin phosphor-bronze on my Martin Acoustic D-15. I am not exactly sure how - I think the Martin's just sound more traditional.I think they they are superior when played individually, one string at a time, just great for playing leads. They are more responsive, I think, than the Martins. For recording, they are really incredible, and deliver a very warm tone.

These strings have lasted longer than any other strings I have ever had.
