I have always checked the reviews on music123 on gear I was interested in, but this is the first time I felt the need to write one. As with probably a lot of people the whole coated strings resisting rust and longer life claim caught my attention so finally I made the switch. I used to use Ernie Ball pure nickel slinkys, and the plain strings would rust pretty quickly, but here I am a month and some weeks later with the elixirs and they look, sound, and feel as good as new. They sounded a little brighter in the beginning, but a tweek on the amp changed that, and they feel a little slicker due to the coating. the feel caught me off guard at first, but now I like it. I have never had a string break, but I also make sure I have at least 2 coils around the tuning peg. actually the only draw back I could find is that they fall out of tune a little sooner then the slinkys, but then again I play a Les Paul with the light gauge tuned down half a step, so that can kind of be expected. All in all the strings have impressed me so much that I will be switching my bass, and acoustic strings also. The price at first may put off some people, as it did me, but now I consider it a bargain. Give them a try, and I think u will be impressed too.

I used to play Ernie Ball Super Slinky - the choice of the best. Great strings but they get very fast rusty and so I looked for something new. Elixir Strings were the answered. With the new Anti Rust Coating they don't rust anymore. With my aggressive Tremolo use the last for about two months.I love them and I won't even consider trying something else!!
