Electro-Harmonix Classics USA Big Muff PI Distortion / Sustainer Guitar Effects Pedal
Big Muff Pi

Like the legendary Big Muff Pi of the 70's, the reissue has three controls that let you dial in the finest harmonic distortion/sustain ever produced. The Volume control adjusts the output level. The Sustain control optimizes the long sustain with just the right amount of harmonic distortion. The Tone control provides a range of sounds, from warm bass to crisp treble. The USA-Made original Big Muff Pi is housed in the original-style silver steel chassis and comes packaged in a distinctive pine box.

I've been using RAT pedals for a while now. and I'm interested in Non standard distortion types. I decided to try a USA Big Muff and it blew me away. Its got the power of a Rat but more Top end. It has finer distortion than a RAT. They compliment each other well. Every set up should have a Big Muff and a RAT.

I needed a new distortion pedal and this one really has a tone to it. I play on a Fender toronado and frontman 10 watt, and it blows my older boss pedal away. It's really worth the buy and you get a wooden box!

This thing is creamy, it's dreamy, and it was just what I was looking for. I only own two distortion pedals and they give all the sounds I need for my bass. One is a Marshall Guv'nor 2 distortion pedal for that rumbling distortion(think Rage Against the Machine). The other is the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff for fuzz and feedback and anything else I want. It gets me to sound just like Colin Greenwood (Radiohead) and do you really want to sound like anybody else? This thing is solid, the 9 volt battery that came with it is still going strong (4 months of good use!) so no worries about going out and buying batteries if you don't have an adaptor. Electro-Harmonix is now my favorite stomp box company, bye bye Boss!

This thing is awesome! I own a Boss DS-1, and the Big Muff blows it away! You can get so many different sounds from the pedal, from warm bass to screaming treble. I listen to the White Stripes a lot, and I know that Jack White uses a Big Muff, so if you want to hear this thing in action, listen to some of their songs.

this pedal is the best, this is my first pedal and it simply rocks. I really like the volume cranked tone low and the sustain blasted. this pedal adds so much volume. the distortion can be like a broken speaker, but it can also be a heavy low distortion. this pedal is a great deal to . I suggest anyone looking to buy a distortion pedal To Get This ONE.
