This makes access to the upper frets and the neck-to-body transition much smoother. Just as on a set neck, you will get a combination of tone from both the neck and body with the set-thru construction. The sound will depend on the types of wood used, but generally will have a fuller, warmer tone when compared to most neck-thru-body guitars.
