This guitar has the best bang for the buck. Loaded with dual EMG 81's. This will rock. The finish is flawless and the guitar has more sustain than my Les Paul custom for about 1700$ less. I would suggest this guitar for beginner or for the seasoned professional. The high output great tone of the Emg's make it a great guitar

I waited 8 months for this guitar to come in...it was worth every second. The EMG's have awesome tone. This guitar sounds great weather your playing clean or heavily distorted. The neck is also really fast

This is a great guitar! I became interested in this when looking for a Gibson Les Paul. I played both guitars and found that the Les Paul was very nice but when I picked up the ESP I was in love. The thing was light as a feather and the two EMGs SCREAM! Not to mention the cool looks. ESP has hit a winner with this guitar and I am happy to be a proud owner of this guitar. You can play those little magical riffs from Phish with ease and then turn right around and lay some crushing power chords. All and all very nice.

Incredible! The pictures do not do this guitar justice. I was surprised to see that it has an arched top. You really can't see this in the pictures. The neck is perfect, nice and thin. Almost like a flat "U". Sperzels and Tonepro's bridge are a nice touch to this axe. I was originally looking for a guitar with a Floyd and a strat body but then I saw this and all of the reviews were so positive. My EC 50 which is also an excellent value played a role as well in deciding. Go for it if you're considering this guitar.

"Exceeded my expectations in every way"

Absolutely the best guitar I have ever owned. It arrived in flawless condition. No discernable imperfections anywhere. The beauty of this guitar is incredible (I have the see thru black cherry). It is not overly flashy as some photos might suggest. The quilted maple, abalone inlay and black hardware all work together to give it a truly classy look while still preserving the metal edge I was seeking. The sound, distorted or otherwise, far exceeded my expectations. The action is low and the neck is fast and easy to play in all positions. All that plus Sperzel locking tuners, Earvana compensated nut, 24 XJ frets and TonePros locking bridge. Some reviewers have said that the EMG pickups weren't clean enough for their taste but I find the sound to be sweet no matter how I choose to play it. I finally got it yesterday and I just can't put it down. I am truly amazed at the quality of this guitar for the price. You really can't go wrong with this guitar.

I've owned a Jackson SL-2H, Peavey Wolfgang, and a Gibson Les Paul, and this thing beats them all for playability, features, and sound! The neck is what I've been looking for all along. It's not too thin, and not too thick, and very fast. The EMG's are killer, and will make any amp sound good. The hardware is top notch, and the guitar stays in tune forever. The 2004 models now include an Earvana compensating nut, which seriously works to help the guitar to be in tune anywhere on the neck. The guitar is thinner than my Les Paul, and is much more comfortable to play either sitting or standing. I also like having 24 frets, as most all other Les Paul copies only have 22. I've already begun to Ebay my other axes now that I can't justify keeping them and not playing them.

For someone looking for a guitar in the $1000 range, this is your guitar for far south of $1000. It has beautiful bindings and awesome pickup and tonal capabilities. It is a highly recommended ESP that sounds great and looks even better.
