EM Winston instruments are designed and manufactured to deliver a high level of performance. The EM Winston Company LLC believes in the craftsmanship that goes into each Winston instrument and therefore we offer a One Year Limited Warranty. If during one (1) year from the date of original purchase your new Winston instrument is found to have a defect in material or workmanship, Winston, at its option, will either repair the defect or replace the defective part subject to the following special conditions.

A. General. Winston guarantees that the lacquer, silver or nickel finish of the instrument is of quality material and workmanship; however, Winston does not guarantee against deterioration by reason of perspiration, corrosive atmosphere, or other external causes. Springs, pads, and felts are excluded from this warranty. Purchaser shall pay a service charge for transferring the keys if required by reason of warranty.

B. Woodwinds (wood clarinet). The wood body of guaranteed against cracking for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. If cracking occurs during this time period, Winston will replace the cracked portion free of charge. If a wood body section is replaced under the terms of this warranty, said wood body section will have a one (1) year warranty. Purchaser shall pay a service charge for transferring the keys if required by reason of warranty.

C. Plastic Body. The plastic body is guaranteed against breaking for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. If the plastic body breaks during the warranty period because of a defect in materials or workmanship, Winston will replace the broken portion free of charge.

D. Brass Instruments. All of our brass instruments are warranted against defects of workmanship and materials. Pistons, rotors and hand slides are included with this warranty. Lacquer or plating are not covered by our warranty.

E. Duration of warranty. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser or subsequent owner provided such ownership coincides with provisions in the warranty, which are subject to specific time limitations. This warranty does not cover any instrument whose trademark, name of identification number has been removed.

F. Postage. Postage and insurance for the return of instruments to EM Winston Company for warranty repair or replacement are the responsibility of the purchaser or owner.

Where permitted by law, all implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose exceeding the duration of the express warranty are hereby disclaimed and excluded from this warranty.
