EBow PlusEbow Electronic Bow for GuitarUse the EBow Plus rather than your pick, and create awesome synth effects. A small electrical charge sets up an energy field, vibrating the string until you pull it away giving you limitless sustain. The tiny, 9V-battery-powered PlusEbow replaces your pick, letting you mimic horns and synths and create outlandish sounds beyond any instrument. The Plus EBow lets you play as fast as your left hand can scurry through a lick. Fade a string in from a motionless state for a reverse-tape effect. Run the EBow across the strings for gorgeous arpeggios. Add distortion for a screaming guitar sound. Playing the PlusEBow directly over the pickup will increase your volume many fold and give you the crisp sound of super hot pickups. Moving away from the pickup gives you the mellow sound of a hollow body electric. The sounds you discover by experimenting with the EBow will amaze you. And like the best tools of the trade, the EBow will sound different for each musician.EBows have been used on countless records by some of the biggest names in music. Isn't it time you put it to work in your act

this is one effect that is VERY hard to learn, much harder than a wah wah. but, it has much greater effects, and there are endless possibilities. not for beginners.
Not entirely an æeffectÆ exactly, or an æeffects processorÆ, but a little gadget that creates a magnetic field and vibrates your guitar strings (obviously won't work with a classical style guitar due to their nylon/gut strings). It'll work on either an electric or acoustic, but shines when used with an electric. Can be used clean or with any effect and creates fantastic sustain, atmospheric droning, or ambient guitar æriffsÆ.Can be a little awkward to use at first, but once you get used to having this thing in your hand instead of a plectrum, things will flow from there on, it is not very hard to learn as stated in the other review, if you already play guitar at an amateur level and understand how a guitar normally creates itÆs sound, and then understand how an ebow creates itÆs sound also, everything should be fine. I've been using it since I could barely play simple open chords so I do recommend it for beginners. However, itÆs a try before you buy kinda product, but great for anyone who wants to expand their sound or give an underlying element to their vibe.
The Ebow is a really cool effect. If you don't already know what it does, it has a magnet that vibrates the strings on your guitar creating infinite sustain and harmonics you could only get from deafening volumes. If you always watched how Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin used his violin bow on his Les Paul, this is the easier electronic version of the violin bow. If you want his unique sound, go and buy the Ebow and start playing the middle sections to "Dazed and Confused", "How Many More Times", and "Whole Lotta Love". The Ebow sounds even cooler with delay or tape echo added. In short, this is a great effect, for a great price.
