I picked up a Main Squeeze the other day. The sustain is great but there is a pretty bad hiss if you turn up the level control. I just turn the level up to 1/3 to 1/2 way and use the master volume on my bass and it sounds fine. I have an Ibanez BTB400QM bass which is a good bass but not the top of the line Ibanez, but the pedal brings out some good tone, like that of a more expensive bass. I bought a power adapter because the 9 volt battery dies fast. Overall I like the pedal, my new Main Squeeze.

I've owned the DigiTech XMS Main Squeeze Compressor/Sustainer Pedal since early 2006, and it rocks! This little stompbox provides studio-quality compression, and really rocks out on the sustain! Put this first in the chain of your effects, crank it up, and let it rip! This pedal has also added stability to my octave and pitch-shift pedals, which is fantastic! These pedals are built like tanks, using metal construction; and produce high-quality, digital sound. Their metallic paint makes them look really cool, too! DigiTech X-Series pedals provide you with the most bang for your buck, and I highly recommend them! Make sure to grab a DigiTech AC power supply so you can save money on batteries!
