DigiTech RP500 Guitar Multi Effects Pedal

You get the expressiveness of stompboxes and you can change them from preset to preset. Next take the Amp/Cabinet Bypass button that defeats the internal amplifiers and cabinets leaving you with only stompboxes and effects and you have a switching machine. Save each combo in a preset for a uniquely switchable pedal setup not found anywhere else but pro switching systems.

The RP500 multi effects pedal is built like a tank, from a cast metal chassis to the 9 vacuum-style switches. A large 10 character LED display makes for easy stage use topped by an built-in expression pedal to control wahs, volume, Whammy™ and other parameters.

I got this new toy a week ago... And i havent finished looking all the features it got... The distors are great... it gives al the gain u would ever want.. the compresors helps a lot with the sustain and gain of them too... all the FX are so sweet... the flangers and chorus has that nice analog feeling... It has a Amp/Mixer switch that totally change the sound... personally i prefer at mixer... The echo plex is an interesting feature... is diferent than the others delays... Sometimes it sound a little digital like line6.. but most of the times is because the Cabinet sound.. In my opinion it sounds more real.. analog, the sound with the cabinet simulation turned off.. but thats an opinion... This is the best toy a have ever bought.. iam pretty sure you will always fins sometinh new on it every day^^.

I've owned them all - Pod X3 Live, Boss GT8 etc. Digitech has the best distortions of them all, and terrific modulations, delays and reverbs. You have to love the presets, but I use it as a pedalboard with all amp and cabinet models turned off and run it through my effects loop. If you have a good amp that you can push to crunch that also has an effects loop, this is the perfect solution. Probably not best for the front end of an amp, but none of the above mentioned products are. Sounds beautiful direct to mixer or recording. Great price/value too. Highly recommended!

It's amazing what this Rp can do. 200 presets for you to custumize for you liking. It's just like having about 100 stomp boxes at your feet. I even run my other pedals with it, and without switching the amp/ cabinet bypass off. This has got to be the best multi-effect unit out there. All you guitarist out there you will want to get this. And be inspired to write more and play more. Get one and you won't regret it.

Own a Digitech GNX3000 that I use on a small Line 6 Spider III practice amp, was looking for somthing simpler, yet with mostly same presets to run with my newly acquired Crate Palomino head and Palomino 212 cab. This fits perfectly on a class A tube amp. Most of the presets are ready to go, and with the bypass or the amp/cabinet off availability you can do just about everything you could imagine. Also serves as a standard five pedal stompbox. I absolutely love it, and get a big kick of playing around with building "My sound". For this money, it is a real steal. Just the right size, not too complicated, USB compatible. All metal - gig ready. Pedalboard snobs, be prepared to be converted. Perfect!!

I've been playing for over 20 years and I'm very particular about my sound. Phobic about changing anything in my setup but this one proved to be the right choice. I use it solely as a pedal board in live situations and it sounds great. Clear and punchy. The built in EQ was a saving grace for scooping out the mids and tweaking bits here and there. The metal construction was awesome after all the years of the fragile pedals. I'm still finding new sounds every time I turn it on. It took nearly 3 months to decide on this product. Well worth it.
