This a surprisingly nice guitar. This guitar's most appealing feature is very good tone and sustain in a very light guitar. Its least appealing feature is what looks like pretty cheap hardware...but so far no real issue....the tuners hold tune, but I would change them if I wanted to rely on the guitar. I had plans to change the pick ups when I bought it...assumed they would be junk...after playing it...they actually sound very good at modest volumes...probably leave them alone. This one certainly is a bargain, and very easy playing. I like the natural finish...which is much darker than the pictures on the web site...great starter guitar.
I saw this guitar in catalog. I needed a rock guitar that didnt cost alot but would deliver rock sound. I am impressed with the sustain of this guitar. I am used to playing Les Pauls and this is strat style guitar. Dean designed this guitar very well. It doesnt sound like a les paul and it doesnt sound like a statacastor. It sounds somewhere in between. I think my next electric guitar will be a Dean cadillac or an upscale Vendetta. If you want to rock. Buy a Dean.
