Dean VX Electric Guitar.A lot of players will find that the VX's 24-3/4" scale, 1-11/16" nut width, and Tune-O-Matic bridge give it a familiar feel. Grover tuners. Chrome hardware. The first models introduced by Dean in 1977 were the V and Z. Like their counterpart the ML, they were designed with the ultimate in tone, sustain and playability in mind. These models have dramatic string angles at the bridge and nut and a string thru body design featuring the original V plate.

Very nice guitar. Dean is very well known for quality, and this guitar doesn't lower any expectations. For the price, this is one of the best guitars available. It sounds quite good on the amp, and its got a cool design, so for 200 bones, where can you go wrong??? I have 4 guitars of my own. However, they are higher quality, and are at higher expense. This guitar still keeps up with them in playability and tone.
My keyboard player WON this guitar in a drawing at a local music store. He didn't want it so he gave it to me. This thing took me by surprise. At first glance I said "ha-ha"...but after playing it for an hour at high volumes I said "hmmm". Nice tone. Very versatile. I'm happy.
I received my Dean USED!! And it still plays better than most higher end models. Don't let price fool you on this. This guitar sounds and plays like a dream. Any sound or style can be achieved with this baby. Bottom line, it just screams rock n' roll
I just bought my second one of these. Bought one from Musicians Friend along time ago & sold it to get a Gibson Goth Flying V. Should have never sold the Dean. I was so stoked that Music123 started carrying them, & that I had a little money to burn. Ultimate rock star guitar, sounds awesome dirty. Needed something " METAL " for recording, & that is why I came right back to the Dean. Nothing like " string thru " either. Sustain for days & ease of changing strings too. Like I said above, I should have never sold it in the first place.
This is an absolutely amazing guitar, especially for the price. The neck is very fast. The Grover tuners keep it in tune very well. The pickups are great! The neck has a raw wood feel, unlike Ibanez guitars, but I think that is better.
