While beauty was the inspiration of the Edge, Dean put every bit of its 20 plus years of design experience into this electric bass guitar. Starting with a body styled and contoured for comfort, Dean chose basswood to make it lighter. The maple neck is profiled to be faster and sleeker than virtually all others. With a "uniquely Dean" custom neck joint and heel along with an asymmetrical 4 bolt pattern creating uninterrupted access all the way up the two octave neck.
