I just got one second hand and I love itgot it for 100 off another student of my teachers, he has a new bass cos he got a job and has only owned a couple of months. I love it the action is sweet, nice sound, comfortable, not heavy.
I bought this bass for my sis thinking it would be sort of a beginners bass. Turns out that the thing plays as nice as my fender mustang. I even stole if from my sis to use in a local bar gig. The only bad thing about it is the one pickup not much variation in sound. I eventually put in two more pickups but you really don't need them. It is the best bass I have ever seen for this low of a price. You real get some good bang for your bucks.
Just received my 09m today. Only took six days after ordering [good job 123]. Nice and safely packed I opened it up and gazed upon one of the most beautiful pieces of work in the bass world. finish and hardware are outstanding. The two octave neck [35.25 inches from bottom of bridge to nut] is so fast I had to put on my seatbelt to keep from falling off. I have been playing for forty years and was astounded by the accessibility of every note on the neck. Granted it only has one pickup and two knobs, but this baby will do what you want it to do with proper amplification. Not for those who require all the "bells & whistles" but if you want to lay down a bass line solid, this is the one. Overall,I would recommend this piece for looks, playability and price range. I would give it six stars but I can only go up to five.
