I'm a huge fan of Dimebag so when he started to really endorse Dean Guitars I wanted to try one out. The Evo Noir caught my eye with it's great look (especially the absence of the inlays) and it's great price. I decided that I would get the Noir and if it proved to be a good guitar then great. If not then it would be a good guitar to do some personal modifications to. Well, needless to say, I haven't done a single thing to it. The guitar is beautifully made, has great tone, great sustain, the acoustics are great if you're not plugged, play action is great, and no matter what effects you're using the attack is spot on. It's a wonderful guitar and I can't wait to try out more Deans. I'm very much sold on Dean guitars. I play using Zakk Wylde signature GHS strings and I use Digitech Distortion Factory pedal, mixing all these together produces a great metal sound. The highs are incredible and the lows are real crunchy and have a good fat tone thanks to the pickups. I can't say enough good about this guitar. The only con to this guitar is the weight. It's a tad on the heavy side, but this is avery minor con when compared to everything else. Anyone looking to try out a Dean should consider the Evo Noir. It's great.
