Bought to use in bluegrass un-amplified. The size of this bass is impressive, nice electric style bass neck. Soft sound acoustic and plenty of power electrified. I think it does need flat wound strings, the noise is noticeable. Finish is flat and the workmanship is ok for this money. Holds tune well.
