This is one of the best pedals of Danelectro's budget mini-effects line. I have heard many complaints about it in the past, and initially hated it, but quickly learned how good it sounded when used properly. Just be VERY restrained about the effects, use only one Octave control at a time. I suggest cranking the middle control to max and using Octave 1 at around the 8 o'clock setting. It occasionally has some tracking problems but sounds great otherwise and adds an awesome-sounding heaviness to a distorted guitar.

I bought this pedal for 15 dollars at a local music store that had a huge Fire sale. I love this pedal, it is very good to use when adding a distortion too. When you use it clean, I don't really hear much of an effect. It's very good for Rap metal like Rage Against the Machine or Limp Bizkit. There is one huge problem; If you're playing live, and you're on the stage in the dark, the stomp switch is so small, it's very easy to miss. I often do it even with perfect light. If you're totally jamming out and thrashing, you can easily miss the pedal.
