I've Had This Pedal For 3 Years Now. It Serves One Purpose To Me And Thats Good AC/DC-Like Tones Thru Clean Channel On My Amp. It's Survived The Test Of Time Tone-Wise, but Because The Pedal Itself And The Button Are Both Relatively Small The Original Knobs Are Long Gone.

This Was My 4th Pedal I Have Purchased From Danelectro and they haven't let me down yet! Everyone seems to rip on Danelectro because they think cheap=bad. Well, think again this overdrive pedal will blow your mind.

If you look at my "One Line Summary" you'll see what I think about this pedal. It's just that. I have been in love with this pedal since a bought it like 9 months ago. And in those 9 months, it has given birth to a thousand new windows when it comes to playing. When I first bought it, I had the OD set at 9 or 10 for a punk rock feel then as my playing changed it went to a 2 or 3 to a bluesy roar now it's set at 5 or 6 for enough crunch to get me to either destination.

In my other review about this pedal, I said to turn the volume down or it would blow out your amp. I was wrong. I had the knobs cranked in the beginning. Duh. I thought level meant level of drive, not volume.

This was my first effects pedal ever, and I heard from my friend that it was a pretty good overdrive. He was right - if you put it through the clean channel on your amp, it's perfect for hard rock. Just remember to turn your volume DOWN before you play this - it jacks the noise up, and I almost blew out my amp. I recommend it. If you think, however, that this is for metal, it's not. I found out the hard way. If you want a hard metal sound, get either the Black Coffee or Black Licorice metal distortion pedal from Danelectro.
