Smooth, dual ball-bearing drive shaft. Patented Floating Rotor, rotating swivel spring, and infinitely adjustable cam for smooth action, power, and precision. Rugged road case.

DW 9002PC Double Pedal
DW 9002 Double Bass Drum Pedal

Smooth, gravity-defying action
To create smooth, gravity-defying action, the 9000's Floating Rotor is not permanently affixed on a conventional drive shaft but is mounted on a free-floating drive shaft using friction-reducing ball-bearings. In addition, the patented Rotor can be infinitely adjusted using the infinite Torque Adjustment for a variety of positions from center (Turbo-style) to eccentric (Accelerator-style) - achieving the desired balance of power and precision in any playing situation. Furthermore, by moving the location of the Floating Spring from the end of the hex shaft to the center of the pedal, the vertical alignment of the moving parts is maintained and the indirect transfer and loss of energy is virtually eliminated - further optimizing the pedal's speed, power and precision.

Additional features
In addition to Delta ball bearings at the rocker, hex shaft and hinge, the 9000's also employ friction-reducing ball bearings in the rotor and spring connector while incorporating several of the 5000 Series' most popular upgrades such as a stackable heel plate, dual / side adjusting hoop clamp, 101 two-way beater, built-in spurs and lightweight aluminum pedal plates and linkages.

DW makes the best bass drum pedals around. They're fast, have awesome designs and durability. These pedals will make even starers sound like they have years of experience. But this double kick takes things up a level. The speed and tone of your kick can ultimately be emphasized with this.

I have played many pedals that are great. I currently tried these out and had to have them. All the options you get, free float design, strap and chain compatible, and they are so smooth it's like taking a walk in the park, these pedals are THEE icing on the cake and will be for sometime. Beginners and pros will find these pedals will suit any playing style. Thanks DW from Detroit.

I got my DW a month ago, and it gets better and better every day! I was amazed by the speed, its lightness, its smoothness, and the looks of course. If you are used to a "not so good" pedal, then this will get a little problematic. Simply the best I've used!

I have one word for ALL potential buyers of the 9000 double pedal...SMOOTH!!!!! I really don't know why people bother writing reviews for stuff this great because people aren't going to use them...they're going to go to their local music store and sit down at a display kit and go to work on DW's 9000 and are going to form their own opinions...which, all of them...(in the end) are the same...Its a terrific pedal (expensive)but a terrific pedal. To truly grasp the smoothness and response from this double pedal you're going to need to stop reading all of these reviews and go try it for yourself!!! I did and the results were mind boggling...Its a really wonderful product well worth $479.99. Let me just put it this way; if the pedal cost $679.99 I would still buy it...oh yeah its that good.

...all of what your reading above is true, the 9000 is the smoothest pedal on the market but... maybe too smooth? No, of course you can't have a pedal thats too smooth. The 900 carries on with the same "tank"(y) feel of its baby brothers in the 5000 series and to a lesser extent (due to less weight) in the 4 and 7000 series. These are very smooth pedals indeed, but DW can't seem to shake that slow, plodding, heavy feel thats plagued them from the start. It's like driving a tractor, albeit a smooth tractor. Heavy is the keyword associated w/all dw metal parts, they think strength (good) but weight(is no good) and when teamed w/moving parts weight = less performance and this is whats wrong with their whole pedal line. Some cool adjustments here, but beater is still a piece of junk, drive shaft not as good as could/should be. DW needs to think light (single chain, lighten foot board, put the cam on a diet ect.) then they would be the pedal to beat. Sonor G step lighter/more-positive feel but pricey.

I just received my 9002 DB pedal and it is amazing! I have played Iron cobras and the Pearl eliminator and NEITHER of them come close to the response and feel of the 9000. Even my brother-in-law, who plays metal and is a devout Iron Cobra fan, couldn't believe the action on this pedal. I still have to spend some time adjusting the pedal to my liking, but that's the awesome part about this pedal, you can literally customize it to suit your style of playing! It was well worth the money and the wait. Buy it or at least try it!

I received my dw 9000 three weeks ago and I can do amazing beats. it is fast and smooth but a little squeaky. I find it much better than my axis double bass pedal. I like it a lot and is useful for any type of skill.it produces nice fast beats and can be adjusted to any degree you like

I bought this pedal 3 weeks ago and I'm able to play Arch Enemy's and Dimmu Borgir's stuff now! Believe me, this is a VERY good pedal: smooth, fast, strong, precise. Before I bought this pedal, I tried a friend's Mapex Janus. I thought it was an amazing pedal, and it is , but after using the DW, I noticed the BIG difference between them. The DW is just a MAGNIFICENT pedal at the top of all others and I'm proud of owning one!
