DW 9000PB Single PedalDW 9000 Series Bass Drum Pedal
Smooth, gravity-defying actionTo create smooth, gravity-defying action, the 9000's Floating Rotor is not permanently affixed on a conventional drive shaft but is mounted on a free-floating drive shaft using friction-reducing ball-bearings. In addition, the patented Rotor can be infinitely adjusted using the infinite Torque Adjustment for a variety of positions from center (Turbo-style) to eccentric (Accelerator-style) - achieving the desired balance of power and precision in any playing situation. Furthermore, by moving the location of the Floating Spring from the end of the hex shaft to the center of the pedal, the vertical alignment of the moving parts is maintained and the indirect transfer and loss of energy is virtually eliminated - further optimizing the pedal's speed, power and precision.
Additional featuresIn addition to Delta ball bearings at the rocker, hex shaft and hinge, the 9000's also employ friction-reducing ball bearings in the rotor and spring connector while incorporating several of the 5000 Series' most popular upgrades such as a stackable heel plate, dual / side adjusting hoop clamp, 101 two-way beater, built-in spurs and lightweight aluminum pedal plates and linkages.

I just recently purchased this pedal and it's just incredible. I have other DW pedals, and this one by far surpasses them all and any other pedal on the market. You can't get any more bang for your buck than with this pedal.
After playing the DW 9000 pedal, I am hooked on buying one of these babies. The 9000 allows you to get the exact hit you desire and allows you to feel like the pedal actually conforms to your foot. I would suggest this to any serious drummers.
This pedal is by far the best pedal out there. The pedal is so fast and smooth. I have had this pedal for 6 months now and have had nothing break on it. This pedal is well worth the money, I recommend this pedal for all serious drummers.
I have been using Pearl Powershifters for over a year. They didn't feel bad but once you get to a certain point you tend to be more aware of the small details. Recently I went into the studio and I was playing on a kit that had Iron Cobras. Those rocked, they hit solid, felt very tight, and they flew. I was much faster on them than I was on the Powershifters. So I decided to go to the music store and pick up the ICs. I got there and ran into a friend whose advice I'd followed many times before and he told me I needed to try the DW9000s. I despised of the DW5000s I played in the past so I declined. After much dialog he convinced me to try them, but my mind was already made up on getting the Iron Cobras. I sat down and played with the DW9000s and they were a whole different level of smooth, yet unlike the Axis pedals I had tried in the past the DWs allowed me a great balance of control, feel, speed and power. I bought them on the spot. I mounted them up the following morning at band practice and the other members noticed that the kick was standing out more, while I noticed a new level of confidence in my doubles and triples. After additional tweaking I can say that I am completely sold on the DW9000s and I'm off to pick up a set of the doubles next paycheck. Try these pedals!
The DW 9000 is like the 5000 with upgrades. If you're looking for the BEST PEDAL AROUND, the 9000 is the answer!!!
