these pins really brighten the sound and fit my Yamaha perfectly
I got the abalone ones and put them on my Kona acoustic. Well, the Kona sounded great to begin with, but with these brass endpins, it now sounds like a guitar costing 4x more. I had them in for about 2 months now, and yes, there is an increase clarity in the tones. It's such a small investment for a great improvement in tone. I also had no problem getting them to stay in.
Throw those plastic bridge pins away! These increase sustain. Sound is clearer. One of the best ways to make your guitar sound better.
If you're looking to increase sustain and brightness then you might want to try these things. The sound is bolder, a bit louder, with more sustain. The abalone ones are the coolest. The only thing I didn't like was that they are hard to put in place. They have a tendency to pop out when you tighten the new strings. So what I did is made the holes in the bridge a little larger and used a drop of strong glue to provide holding power. It works every time. If you've played for a while this should be no problem. The extra work is worth the tone you get.
