This is a nice amp if you are looking for just plain great sound and modern versatility. It is really big - but not terribly heavy. Sits wonderfully in my home office where I practice. The low end rocks the whole place. Appears to be very well built and I do believe it would do road work well. Casters and three button footswitch are great touches. Sound clean is wonderful. Effects on the unit are fine. Channel switching is wonderful. I have found that the overdriven and Xod channels respond well to good clear pickups, but sound a little trashy through muddy ones. Try turning volume way down on your guitar if it's an issue for you It really shines through an effects unit [I use a GNX4]- like it was made for it. Speaker quality in the cabinets is really good - can't imagine much better. Notes: Order a stereo cable [trs into 2ea 1/4" mono] if you want to run the cabinet as stereo - doesn't come with one. Same thing for an effects loop - you need a trs to 2ea 1/4" type cable or addapter. An exceptional value in a half-stack setup
