Many reviews I have read compare this trumpet against features you'd expect on a pro trumpet, even though it is not meant to be one. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Also, I learned to play on a Bundy trumpet 30 years ago. This is not the same Bundy. The horn is made in China, not the US. That does not mean it is a bad horn, but it may matter to some. I bought this horn as a travel instrument for when I go on mission trips & it will fill that role well. The fit & finish are good, valve action is quite good. Intonation is OK. Time will tell if it is as durable as my 30 year old Bundy. It looks a lot like a Bach Prelude; I am not sure if the parts are interchangeable. The only thing I really do not like about it is the mouthpiece it comes with. It has a sharp inner profile that I find uncomfortable to play. That problem is easy enough to solve with a Bach or Yamaha replacement. Overall, I think this is a good instrument to start a student on, but you should plan to upgrade after a few years.
