Although the wah has been with us for many a year, the newer designs have not addressed some of the problems inherent with the older circuitry. For example, take the loading and muddiness of the signal when the wah has been by-passed, the narrow frequency range and the use of sub standard parts for assembly. Taking these issues into account, Budda Amplification researched the original Vox wah and designed a modern version incorporating the original specifications with upgraded tonal characteristics.

The Budda wah is hands down the one of the finest wah pedals ever made. At bass settings, (heel cocked back) the tone is thick and honky without losing clarity of the note. Fully depressed, the highs have been rolled off to a frequency that isn't piercing like many wahs.


The overall tone sweep concentrates on a tight and focused range with outstanding vocal like quality. We've incorporated a hard wire bypass so that the effect is completely out of the circuit when switched off.


This allows your signal path to remain pure and in no way compromised like vintage style wahs. Our custom coil inductor is a modern and enhanced version of the original Italian Fazel inductor found in the 60's Cry Baby pedal.


This enhances the voice like effect of the pedal and is the mojo behind our signature sound. Add a full ground plane board for noiseless operation and a newly designed beefed up switch and you will see why many of today's top professionals rely on Budda for their signature sound.

Excellent pedal. I have played for eight years. It is the least harsh (on the top end) of all wah pedals. Sounds awesome with my Strat playing into my Fender Deville. The battery compartment is horrible, so plug it in. There is no LED, if you like to leave it set at one point in the sweep and don't remember if you are there with it activated or not. Seriously though, this is my favorite wah.

I grew up using a Vox Clyde McCoy Wah and decided to take it off the road. I was recommended this wah, so I tried it out. It has a very vocal quality to it, but you can still get the Hendrix/Clapton effects too. There are some sweet spots to leave it on while soloing and it doesn't get brittle when you turn it off while playing. The only drawback is that it will cut off the signal path instead of bypassing it.
