The TU-2 is a compact tuner pedal which features a 7-segment LED that displays note name. Its bright 11-point LED indicator clearly shows tuning discrepancy, helping keep guitarists in tune even on the darkest of stages. To ensure complete accuracy, the TU-2 goes a step further than other stage tuners by including a unique "stream" meter which slows LED movement as a note's pitch becomes more accurate. Once tuning is correct, LED movement stops.
  • BOSS world-renowned TU-Series tuner accuracy in a convenient stompbox design
  • Mute/Bypass select for silent tuning with a single stomp
  • 11-point LED indicators and new "stream" meter display tuning discrepancy via speed and direction of LEDs (speed of LED movement gets slower as pitch becomes more accurate)
  • 7-segment LED displays string and note names, easily visible on dark stages
  • Seven easy tuning modes include Chromatic, Guitar Regular, Guitar Flat, Guitar Double Flat, Bass Regular, Bass Flat, Bass Double Flat
  • Tuning mode setting and display style choice stored in memory
  • Adjustable reference pitch from 438 to 445Hz
  • 8-octave tuning range—the widest in its class
  • Footswitchable Tuner Off mode preserves battery life by disabling LEDs

Boss TU-2 Chromatic Stompbox Tuner
The TU-2 Chromatic Stompbox Tuner can power up to 8 other pedals when it is used with the optional PCS-20A power cord and optional PSA-120 AC power adapter. The Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner lets you shift to bypass mode for silent tuning with a single stomp. An eleven-point LED stream meter makes it easy to see when you're in tune (the movement of the meter slows the closer you get to pitch). Seven different modes provide options for both bass and guitar and a seven-segment display makes string and note names readily visible on dark stages. Footswitchable Tuner Off mode preserves battery.

"Works for acoustic guitars too!"

I had a hard time finding a tuner that would detect my piezo pickups in high volume clubs. The TU-2 can pull of this miracle.I also use it as a mute switch when changing instruments. No worries about feedback anymore. I was so impressed with this tuner, I bought each of my bandmates one. No more excuses about being out of tune, even during a set.

This is an excellent tuner, though it is a little pricey. This has "Chromatic" mode where you can tune your instrument to the note (A,B,C,D,E,F,G, etc.) where it shows the note youre playing on the LCD and wheter it is flat, sharp, or dead on. Or for a little bit quicker tuning you can put it into "Guitar" mode which will tune it to standard (EADGBE) tuning. It will show the string number youre playing on the LCD and then whether youre sharp or flat. There's also half and whole step down tuning modes, and even tuning for your bass in standard, half step lower, or whole step lower. It's very durable also. Best tuner I've ever had.

I bought this tuner about a week ago and I am very pleased with it. It is fairly easy to use and seems to be very accurate. I usually tune by ear, I have good pitch, but the tu-2 allows me to tune silently in noisy environments. I also like it because it's a stomp-box design. I would recommend this tuner to any gigging guitarist. Try to catch it on sale though, it's a little pricey for just being a tuner. Seems to be built very well.

Man this is THE best tuner on the planet! It makes the perfect addition to your effects pedal line-up, and it's not made of flimsy plastic like your average guitar tuner. It's a rock-solid Boss pedal, and it looks very cool in action too! The flashing streaming L.E.D.s look 'the business', on-stage, at home or wherever. It's about time someone came up with a pedal tuner. It has several different tuning modes, with 'Guitar' or 'Bass' displaying the string number as you tune, or 'Chromatic' displaying the string as a note (letter) instead. Very nice. And it has two outputs. The one labelled 'Output' gives you silent tuning, whereas the one labelled 'Bypass' lets you hear your instrument even when the tuner is active (pedal on). It's typical of Boss to give you a choice like that. This is a pro-quality product and well worth the money. You'll never go back to those little plastic tuners again! Buy it! You know you want one!

This tuner kicks . It is so easy to change through different tunings and it is very accurate. So accurate that when I tuned it flat my mom walked in my room and said that the song I was playing sounded beautiful. I turned off all the lights in my room and the LCD screen was easier to see in the dark then in light. If you are a rock player that likes many different genres I highly recommend picking one up. The only bad thing I have to say about it is the price.(100$)Great Tuner Boss

This is the best tuner for the gigging guitar player yet. The digital display is easy to read onstage under colored lights, the foot pedal design is extremely convenient for the musician who needs to be able to to tune up WHILE introducing the next song. There's no hassle, no hands, no plugging and unplugging, no squinting to read a small display. And for the price, there's nothing better.

"The Last Tuner You Will Ever Buy"

The Boss TU-2 is the best live tuner that money can buy. I originally bought one for live use with my acoustic guitar. Since then I have purchased another for my electric guitar. I will probably purchase a third. As you can tell by the trend, this is an amazing tuner. Whether you play acoustic, electric, or bass, and in your room or on a stage, this tuner can handle it all. Extremely durable, extremely user friendly, it's no suprise that this tuner is used by every professional out there. Don't spend your money on tuners that break, or don't work well, buy a TU-2, and then never look at tuners again!

"Never be out of tune!"

I've been using this pedal for about 5 years now, and it's still going. It's been thrown inside bags, cases and stepped on like crazy and still kickin'. Also works great as a mute switch for switching guitars. I use it in conjunction with the Boss LS-2 line selector and I just use 1 cable and tuner for all my guitars. I can always be sure that I'll be in tune with this. A must have for all performing musicians.

This honestly a great deal. For the price there is no turning back here. 100% reliable. Easy to use and its right under your feet. You should think twice about purchasing any other tuner than this.
